Trust the Process: The similarities between Wine and Cannabis

Wine is one of Northern California’s most recognizable products. Home to world-famous wine county, Sonoma County contains almost 60,000 acres of vineyards and more than 425 wineries.

Now that adult-use cannabis is legal, Sonoma County can show the world how the quality of cannabis it produces is just as high quality as the wine produced, and there are many reasons for that.

The similarities between the grape growing process and the cannabis growing process are endless. Agriculturally, both thrive during the same seasons, running from March-April until September-October when both products are harvested.

One of the biggest reasons that the wine and cannabis quality is top-shelf in Sonoma County is the region. Having long and hot summer days to stress the both crops out, followed by the cooler and breezy evenings to cool them off, makes the climate in Sonoma County ideal for both wine and cannabis.
