Looking for a day out of the office and to experience a memorable team building activity, we had the opportunity to host the engineering team from Pax for our Craft Beer & Cannabis Experience last month. The group of 19 were high energy and ready for some fun.

Cannabis companies are popping up left and right, and similar to tech industry, they are hiring for all positions ranging from HR and Recruiting to Engineering and Marketing. Until January of 2018, these positions essentially didn’t exist, and people weren’t learning or hearing much about the cannabis industry and business that comes along with it. Pax not only wanted to have a team offsite, they were looking to educate their employees around the ins and outs of the cannabis industry.

For all but a few of the team, it was their first time ever being inside a living, breathing, extraction lab, let alone one like Cannacraft’s. They were very curious, having questions at every turn about the ins and outs of Cannacraft’s supercritical CO2 extraction process.

The highlight of the day was during our third stop at Barrel Brothers Brewing. While getting ready to leave one of the members of the group got left behind! Luckily it was discovered right away and got her back on board. The best part was that they used it as a trick to play on their coordinator back in the office!

It was a great day and a lot fun being able to bring a team together. But more importantly bring two different cannabis companies together.
